Hi, my name is Ashleigh, and using creative concepts to communicate with an audience is what I do best. To understand my creative content journey, we need to go all the way back to my university days. Back in my days as a student leader I was exposed to the exhilarating life of graphic design. Although at a very basic level, I found myself using Canva to design event posters, flyers, and merchandise. It was a lovely distraction from my biology textbooks. As I continued on my journey through the extra curricular space in university, I found my graphic design skills became more and more useful. I was now creating social media content (in my mind this was a big step up from creating posters that never seemed to stay up on a wall anyway). I loved the thrill of working out what type of content people wanted to see, what type of content people connected with the most, and what type of content gave our audience the truest reflection of our brand identity. It was like constantly putting together puzzle pieces, with an ever changing picture. This started me on my content strategy journey. A year later I found myself working as a full blown social media manager, putting together posting schedules, using data to formulate strategies to improve our following and engagement, and managing our community as a whole. My eyes were opened to a world where critical thinking and design thinking overlapped, and I was loving it. I took my skills across the seas with me and started woking as a social media manager and content creator for a small boutique hotel in Ireland. It was shortly after where I was presented with the opportunity to strengthen my content skills, and started working for a world renown software company. It is here where i have grown into a strong writer and video editor. It is the place where i have learned to put the audience at the heart of your content. And it is where I have learned that understanding your audience is the key to your strategy’s success. It is these lessons that I am hoping to bring with me back into the social media and content creation space, so I can help your company achieve your digital marketing and content goals.
